Project Torque was the free North American version of Level-R hosted by Aeria Games Entertainment.

On July 8, 2010, Aeria Games announced they could no longer host Project Torque and it would be completely shut down on August 2, 2010.

On July 29, 2010, Invictus announced the new publisher for Project Torque to be Innologin Ltd. The new host is calling the game by a new name, HEAT Online

On July 31, 2010, Project Torque was shut down by Aeria Games. The download is no longer available.

On August 1, 2010, except for the General Discussion Forum Aeria Games shut down the Project Torque forums. The General Discussion forum will allow Project Torque players to keep in touch.

Project Torque is now available at Innologin Ltd. under its new name, HEAT Online.
